Caring for women in all life’s stages

My most favorite part of my job is delivering babies! It is such a magical moment and I get to be there in the thick of it! I truly feel like that is my calling – to ensure healthy women and healthy babies to the best of my ability and to have a wonderful moment in the process! I also enjoy taking care of women at all stages of their lives- from young adult to childbearing, to then perimenopause and the dreaded menopause! Women are so often the caregivers that I think it is vital to ensure that our patients are taking care of themselves. I also enjoy doing colposcopy for abnormal pap smears, reading ultrasounds, working with our midwives and mid-level practitioners.
Why did you choose Essex County OB/GYN?
I have been at Essex County OBGYN since I completed my residency training and I will be here until I retire. This group truly behaves as a family- I felt that when I interviewed and have experienced it now for over 20 years. We discuss how to best care for patients, how to survive raising teenage daughters, and where to eat in Boston. We are truly here for one another and I cannot imagine doing this job anywhere else.
